NEVER MIND

Never Mind is a project about violence, assaults and powerlessness. To reflect the seriousness of this message, I have changed the visual expression from the symbolic style used in my previous works to a visually direct style that confronts the observer with a clear message.

Never Mind discusses the subject from two different viewpoints. On the one hand I am focusing on the consequences of traumatic incidents, and on the other hand I show how the society distance itself from this and let it happen. Traumatic incidents in the childhood do not only inflict physical injuries on the victim, but also often leads to long term consequences such as mental health problems, criminality, violence, prostitution, pedophilia and so on.

The consequences of assaults and abuse on short and long term is a significant problem in the society and it is thereby also the society's responsibility.  To draw attention to this responsibility is a great inspiration for me.
