TRIANGULAR PERSPECTIVES

After I finished Einar Granum school of art, I wanted  to further develop my artistic expression and started to combine inspiration from what I've learned with my own personal preferences and subjects.  This resulted in the yearlong project Triangular Perspectives.

In Triangular Perspectives I worked a lot with the thought of how the community defines truths and how this affect people in their daily life and prevents new ways of thinking. A key question I discussed is the difficulties in building common spaces for different individuals without compromising the values that makes peoples life meaningful. In Triangular Perspectives, people are longing for their own space. Trapped inside the constructed and claustrophobic world they become unhappy. The search for an inclusive community has resulted in an endless struggle against compromises. The community has failed.
